Marc A. Sheiness is a native Texan. He received his Juris Doctorate degree from Baylor University School of Law in May 1971, where he was a member and President of the legal fraternity, PAD. He also was a member of the Baylor Law Review. He graduated from Texas A&M University, where he was a member of the Corps of Cadets and the Aggie Band. He was selected by the members of the band to be its Maroon Band Drum Major for the school year 1967-68.
Marc has been admitted to practice law in Texas since September 1972. He is also admitted in all four federal court jurisdictions in the State of Texas. Mr. Sheiness has over 30 years of civil litigation experience, including significant trial experience in the state and federal courts of Texas. He became board-certified in personal injury law in 1980. Areas of concentration include: products liability, professional malpractice, premises liability, church liability, bad faith litigation and commercial litigation. Within the arena of defending product manufacturers, he has been called upon to defend manufacturers of such products as rifles, helmets, chairs, motorcycles, automobiles, and medical devices.
Mr. Sheiness is a former member of the board of directors of Eagle International Associates, Inc., and is a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, a trial lawyer honorary society composed of less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers. He is a member of the Defense Research Institute. He serves as Managing Partner of Sheiness, Scott, Grossman & Cohn, LLP.
